Don't get me wrong, I do tip. But what is the reason if we're already paying their high prices ( I live in Southern California where it can be pretty darn expensive) . I don't want to be a poor sport or anything like that, but it seem like tipping is nothing more than paying someone to do their job well. I really don't mind doing it most of the time, but I don't always get the best service. But I tip anyway out of sheer pressure to do so. A friend of mine is a manicurist who charges over 50-60 dollars for a mani-pedi and complains when people don't leave a tip? Am I the only one who ever has this thought? Why do we tip at nail salons?
it is considered a 'service' industry...in most service industries you tip based on the quality of the service they give...however, some salons are gratuity included - they usually post this next to their registers though...Why do we tip at nail salons?
Because the money you pay doesn't go to the person that helped you,it goes to the salon. And when you pay the tip, it goes to that specific person.
I Don't Tip Coz I Don't Go Too A Nail Salon Coz I Don't Want My Nail Gunked Up Platic And Goo!
you don't have to if you don't want to...
Its a good question. I didnt know you were supose to . I guess they must get paid badly like hair salon workers do
