Is it okay to get your hair highlighted at a salon if you are in the early stages of pregnancy?

I am thinking about getting my hair highlighted but we are trying to conceive so I might be pregnant at any time, even if I don't know it. Is it safe to get my hair highlighted at a salon?Is it okay to get your hair highlighted at a salon if you are in the early stages of pregnancy?
I would just suggest not going all the way down to the scalp and make sure the air circulation is good in the room.. Go get pretty! Nothing wrong with that and best wishes!

I wouldnt do it. First tho, I would take apregnancy test. Wait a couple days, take another one, and than if they both say negative. Than It would be okay to do it. If you are pregnant dont even tempt it, it seems like you want a baby, and doing something like that might end up hurting your baby, so something you've been working on could fall down the drain.
before being pregnant, yes. i am pregnant and i asked my doctor and she said she would rather me not, but i could use the stuff that rinses out- like it isnt permanent or whatever.

Yep, nothing wrong with that. Make sure there is good ventilation.





Youmight want to avoid a perm, though. They can be very unpredictable when you are pregnant.

hello I am 36 weeks pregnant and I had my hair highlighted throughout my pregnancy. Both my doc and hairstylist said its fine. Just make sure you are in a well ventilated area.
I'm 32 weeks pregnant and I've gotten my hair done a few times while pregnant and everything is fine with the baby.
