Do u have to use tanning lotion or can u use any lotion when going to a tanning salon?

Tanning lotion is not the same as a daily moisturizer. Tanning lotion has accelerators that boost your skin's production of melanin. Melanin is what is being browned. The more melanin you have the brown you will be.





A daily moisturizer will keep you moist but it will not accelerate your tan.





Depending on the size of your body, you should be going through a bottle of lotion between 20 - 30 sessions (between 1 month or 2). This may seem a lot, but you want to use enough to do a good job. Roughly 2 tablespoons full of lotion each time. It could be that you are using too much, maybe not.





Make sure your salon sells you a decent size bottle. A 7oz bottle will go by fast, but a 10oz bottle will last you.





NEVER buy from walmart, walgreens, drugstores, or ONLINE. Only by authentic lotion from a indoor tanning studio.
the tanning salons usually have lotions there you can use =)
