What are the steps that a stylist would take. Also, how long would it take?Describe the process of a deep conditioning treatment at a salon?
A conditioning treatment is a very heavy, intense conditioner that is applied to freshly shampooed hair. The stylist should then put a plastic cap over your hair, then place you under a warm dryer. This will cause the cuticle on your hair shaft to soften and swell, allowing the molecules of the conditioner to go into the hair shaft and condition it from the inside out. The heat part should typically last 15-30 minutes. When it is over, the stylist should rinse your hair in cool water to re-harden and close the cuticle of your hair shaft, ';locking'; the conditioner into your hair.
This treatment is excellent to do occasionally for all hair types, and is especially great for color-treated and/or damaged hair.Describe the process of a deep conditioning treatment at a salon?
i did a great deep conditioning teatment at a salon. it took me about 30 minutes howevern there are many diff types. i did a redkin chemistry shot on my hair. followed by a butter tratment. just depends on what you do. but a little tip if you go under then heat it opens up the pours in the hair and allows the teatment to go deeper in to the hairl
