Should I get my cartilage pierced at a hair salon with a gun?

I found out this hair salon/ beauty parlor because someone i know got their's done there too, and it turned out great. I called the place and they said they would charge me only 20 dollars for the piercing, and the ear ring, and the things you need to clean your ear. I can't spend a lot of money cuz i'm still a minor. Should I get it done there?Should I get my cartilage pierced at a hair salon with a gun?
Do not pierce your cartilage with a gun. Go to a professional piercer and get it done with a needle. At a professional shop the employees will be much more knowledgeable and experienced about what jewlery to use for the piercing, how to treat it and how to pierce it well.


Getting it done with a gun can lead to many different things that you don't want. From shattered cartilage, infection and other problems that could potentially be permanent and ruin your piercing. No, not with a gun. Guns can shatter the cartilage which would be VERY bad and you would need cosmetic surgery to fix. Not a good idea, although I did get mine pierced with a gun and it turned out just fine. Better safe than sorry though...
