What does your hairdresser say before the WASH your HAIR at the SALON?

Do they ask if you want a shampoo or do they just do it?What does your hairdresser say before the WASH your HAIR at the SALON?
Generally they ask if you would like your hair shampooed. At some salons it is included in the price at some it is extra. I'd go for the shampoo because it feels great. What does your hairdresser say before the WASH your HAIR at the SALON?
well they usually ask you if you have already washed your hair, of you say yes obviously they won't do it again. if you say no they wash your hair with shampoo (usually twice) and condition it after... until it's squeaky clean :)

they also give your head a scalp massage it feels so nice! lol
There's not a hairdresser, stylist, or barber that would not rather cut clean hair. It probably depends on their own personal policy. If you've recently (right before you go) washed your hair, speak up.
My hairdresser has been mine for 7 years but when I first started getting my hair done she never asked. She just did!

  • What is the average salary for a receptionist at a very Upscale salon?

i have a job interview tomorrow for a receptionist position at an upscale salon. what is the average salary for that position? (state of new jersey)What is the average salary for a receptionist at a very Upscale salon?
I would say 9-10 dollars an hour. I am in NJ and I have seen some ads and that is what they are paying. What is the average salary for a receptionist at a very Upscale salon?
A receptionist is a receptionist, upscale or not. It's not a very high paying position.

Average around 7-9 dollars per hour. A few manage to make around 15 per hour. But that is based on experience and the place of business.

Is it okay to bring my one month old to the hair salon with me?

I have an appointment next week to get my hair dyed %26amp; trimmed at the salon and I wanted to know if it's okay to bring my baby along with me. Maybe the fumes from the hair dye would be bad for him? Thanks. Is it okay to bring my one month old to the hair salon with me?
NO way, I wouldn't chance it. I just got my hair highlighted the other day and I felt like I was high from the fumes!!! Definitely find someone to watch your little one! Good luck with the new do!Is it okay to bring my one month old to the hair salon with me?
Doesn't sound like a good idea to me.

A lot of people go to the salon to get relaxed and pampered (even if it is just their hair) and a infant there will just be annoying if he wakes up.

Plus, your child will still need your attention and it would be hard taking care of him while you are occupied with your hair. The fumes will not be so good for his little lungs too (especially if they have a nail center in there as well)

Can someone come along with you to watch him and perhaps walk around outside with him if he starts to get antsy?
When I got my hair done after my last baby I had my mom come with me and take my daughter for a walk in the stroller and she only brought her into the salon to get fed, Hair stylists often develop respiratory problems from all the fumes so why take a chance exposing your little one.
why would you even want to? take your time to relax and enjoy the pampering that you deserve without the baby needing you every 5 minutes. relax and go alone.
I don't think so cause' he/she might breath in the chemicals.
absolutely not... it wouldnt be safe for a 5 year old... the fumes are very damaging to still developing lungs
    Dont take him
If there is a separate waiting area and someone else to sit with your infant, I'd say yes. But, you're right, the fumes from the dyes are harmful to your son.
Nah, don't do it. Doesn't sound good.

How much would you pay to get your nails done at a salon?

I personally have not been to a salon to get my nails done because I have the salon kit stuff, so I do it really really good myself. But I want to know how much you have paid or willing to pay to get it done.

No stupid answers like $0.How much would you pay to get your nails done at a salon?
I don't like putting FAKE nails on, so I naturally grew my nails out. I save a lot! Acrylics are overrated and ugly in my opinion.

    ANYWAYS! to answer your question...

A manicure is around $8 here in Southern CA.

    A pedicure is around $18. If I want a design, there's an additional $5.

When I want a NATURAL french tip mani or pedi, there's an additional $5.

And then the tip, you can't forget that! I give my girl around $3 for a manicure, $5 for pedi, and $7 if she does both at the same time.

It's good to have just one girl to do your nails. You can build a relationship with her, and she'll know what you like and your sensitivities.

I hope I helped! How much would you pay to get your nails done at a salon?
Of course depending on where you live it could be cheaper or higher, but I always get a full set with french tips and pay anywhere from 23 to 32 bucks. They have different styles though depending on what you are looking for. I want to try pink and white set..they run close to 40-45. I would pay that much though if it was a good job. But on average for fills I wouldn't want to pay more than 20.
DEPENDS on what you want..do you want fake nails? a full set of acrylic will be 25 dls. solar..35...gel 50dls..an average..if you just need polish maybe 10 dls or french tip 15...it depends to if it's a fancy salon or a regular one like the ones vietnamies own..they are the best and the prices are most of the time fair.
I once paid $26. It was more than I wanted to pay but they did a great job and it was for a special occasion. I say average is anywhere between $20-$50 depending on the salon and what's included.
depends what i want done, for a mani + french tip i wouldnt pay more than $10.

pedi + french tip about 14 is the max(and thats with a high tech spa chair)

What's the average cost for a men's haircut at a salon?

I pay $40 (including tip) for a cut and shampoo at a local salon. Is this a lot? I live in the SF Bay Area, so I realize that the price may be inflated when compared to other parts of the country, but I'm still wondering if it's reasonable. What's the average cost for a men's haircut at a salon?

About how much is the average price for makeup application at a salon?

I need help!!! How much is the avg price for makeup application at a salon? Just some foundation, eyeshadow, and lip stick.

How much should I charge someone who wants me to do THEIR makeup?

    (Location: Arizona)

Thanks!! =)About how much is the average price for makeup application at a salon?
I am in AZ - went to a resort and paid $65 for a makeup application. They used high end mineral makeup. I think your price should reflect your materials and your skill. :)About how much is the average price for makeup application at a salon?
You can get FREE makeup consultations, and then choose to purchase the makeup that they sell if you like it.If you would like to get a hair and makeup package for a party, wedding or prom, it runs $60 and up.
    charge them 15 dollars!
On the West Coast (L.A.) you can get your make-up done by a make-up artist in the nicer department stores for $50-$60.

Many times they offer a ';Free'; make over, but be careful. Usually these are ';Lead Ins'; for sales.

In other words, it may be in fine print that you have to spend X amount of dollars buying their expensive make up in order to get the free make over. It always pays to ask questions before you sit down and let them do their thing.

Also be sure that the person doing the make up is an expert and not just one of the sales clerks.
When I was younger I was able to go to my local department store and have my makeup done for free. Stores like Nordstroms, JcPennys, Macy's - basically any place that sells ';make-up'; will give people make overs for free. Their goal is that you will like the application so much that you purchase the products that they used.

I have also been to a ';day spa'; and had my make-up done, (false eye lashes included) for $90.00. The make up that was used was all MAC and Bobby Brown, and if you know your makeup, you know that one tube of MAC lipstick is more than the cost of lunch for two!
For me, in NY it was $100 for full face and $150 for air brushing.
if you have a MAC in your mall or any where near you they do your make up if you spen 50.00$ or more on their cosmetics.

and they do it really nice too! :D
